The New house senate health care bill that Reid is trying to push though the senate was coupled with bill HR 3590 which is to admen the Internal Revenue code of 1986 for first time homebuyers credit for Armed Forces and Federal employees with the addition of " and for other purposes."

You can read the bill at http://democrats.senate.gov/reform/patient-protection-affordable-care-act.pdf

I did a search on the word tax, it appears 511 time in this bill. In the table of contents it appears 12 times, 7 referring to tax credits and 5 to ether new taxes or increasing current taxes. The tax are on some of the usual like higher taxes on the top taxpayers but also include high cost employer sponsored health coverage (Sec 9001),increase in additional tax on distributions from HASs and MSAs (Sec 9004), on cosmetic medical procedures (Sec 9017), and others.

States, the states must assume the cost of individuals eligible for premium tax credits. Page 137 line 19. this will increase States pay out and with many of the states in or at the verge of bankruptcy this could do them in not to mention increase states taxes even farther then they already are.

The word penalty appears 115 times. Some of the penalties fees are for miss use, but a large number are really a tax that is implemented as a penalty if mandatory option is not met. The word Mandatory appears 10 time.

The word payment appears 892 time and in a large number of them its referring to ether penalty or taxation on individual or companies. The rest is referring to credit payment of some sort or payment to physicians or providers.

Just looking through the bill I see a large amount of required applications and other paperwork that provider and individuals will have to fill out. The word required appears 262 times.

The word imposed appears 107 times and usually refers to taxes, penalties, fees, or forms. The word form appears 122 times, mostly deleing with documents requested or required buy the government.

"Individual Mandate for coverage" or now called "MAINTENANCE OF
MINIMUM ESSENTIAL COVERAGE"
Chapter 48 on page 324 line 18.
Line 23, An applicable individual shall for each month beginning after 2013 ensure that the individual, and any dependent of the individual who is an applicable individual, is covered under minimum essential coverage for such month.

Page 325 talks about penalties and payment for lack of coverage. You take this and link it to the JCT letter of 110509 which can be read at http://republicans.waysandmeans.house.gov/UploadedFiles/JCTletter110509.pdf
Which is currently linked to H.R. 3962 and you could have possible prison time for not having paid the fine imposed by not have the minimal health plan. Please participate in survey on this issue.

I have not had time to look at the entire bill but this is a quick look over it to see how and how it will affect you pocket or wallet.

Personally I think this bill as well as HR 3962 are both unconstitutional.

First no one should be forced to get health care coverage or pay for someone else.

Second we pay enough in taxes as it is and both bill impose multiple taxes, penalties, and fines on top of any payroll tax they will be tacking out.

What are your thoughts?

What is a Health care bill doing attached to a Tax bill anyway?

Is this a cover to miss lead people looking up the bill or is it trying to drum up support from other points.

Or maybe they got it right, there are a lot of taxes in this bill that you and I will be paring from increased medicaid taxes to other hided taxes on our current heath care providers and employers which will eventually come out of our pay.

how much are you willing to pay for someone else to get coverage?

David Noah

Twas the Night before the Senate Vote.

Adapted from the peom “Twas the Night before Christmas” by Clement Clarke Moore (1779 - 1863)

Twas the night before the Senate Vote, when all through the house
Not a Politician was stirring, not even a louse.
The stock holders were hung by the Fed with care,
In hopes that Recovery soon would be there.

The Politicians were nestled all snug in their Heads,
While visions of Ear Marks danced in their heads.
And Pelosi in her Boeing, and Obama In his Cap and Trade,
Had just Decided to call their opposition racists and haters of gays.

When out in the real world there arose such a clatter,
they Hopped in their jets because we don’t matter.
Away to Asia Obama flew like a flash,
To beg China not to stop buying our Treasury Bond Trash.

The Bill of Health reform fell on the Podium with a thud
don’t give them a Day to read it just sign any way.
What to the people appears to be a mistake,
what should appear but Pelosi to say it is Great.

With a little old switch and bate, so lively and quick,
I knew in a moment it must be a Congressional trick.
More rapid than eagles a vote for was called,
And anyone who opposed it was branded a traitor of all.

"Now Reid! now Baucus! Now Harkin and Dodd!
And let’s not forget Senator Olympia Snow!
To the Press, the radio, to the blogs on the Internet!
Now send in your shills, Pronounce its great and it’s not going to Fail."

As the Amendments and earmarks begin to fly,
We must pay back to the Democrats who’s votes we had to buy.
So up to the house-top the Lobbyists they flew,
With the sleigh full of Tax breaks, Special Projects, Loop holes, and a Bundle or two.

And then, in a twinkling, It was sent to be proofed
The prancing of Aids trying to turn Four Thousand pages into Two.
As the people shook their head and asked how can this be sound,
the politicians just shrugged and said they are ideologically bound.

They dressed it all up, Making it sound like it was true,
But hidden in the details are the clauses that all will be bound to.
Laws, Penalties, Fees, and don’t forget the Tax,
And They looked so smug as they stabbed us in the back.

They had to get it passed so they could enjoy the Holidays right,
It didn’t matter to them if the Bill they passed is Tripe.
We heard them exclaim, Obama signed, Now all is right,
This is Historic legislation, thanks to the Democrats, you can sleep we’ll at night.

So don’t worry about unemployment, your mortgage, or the national deficit,
We’ll get to it eventually, once our promises have been met.
We’re giving you change, you just didn’t understand what we meant,
So don’t get upset, vote for a Liberal, and this is what you get.

I find it ironic that there are those how believe you should go to jail or be fined for something that has not been a mandate for over 200 years. sending some one to jail for not wantingto pull the weight of the lazy should never be a crime.

Call / write / email them and tell them NO. Look at the poll numbers.

      House of Representatives; https://writerep.house.gov/writerep/welcome.shtml

      Whitehouse; http://www.whitehouse.gov/contact/

      Senate; http://www.senate.gov/general/contact_information/senators_cfm.cfm

      Don’t forget the unforgettable number where you can ask for ANY sitting Congressman/woman at;

      1-877-SOB-USOB

Tell them no, you don’t support it.
